New evidence suggests that at least with some species of dinosaurs it was the males that were primarily responsible for incubating the eggs and guarding the nests. This certainly seems to be the case with Troodon, Oviraptor and Citipati, all of whom were raptor type dinosaurs living about 75 million years ago.
