The award winning Dinosaur Museum has launched a new competition in conjunction with Dorling Kindersley the publisher of superb children’s books. During October visitors to the museum can enter the competition for the chance of winning a fantastic prize.
Five winners will receive a copy of the ground-breaking new book from DK called Prehistoric, which brings to life the evolution of life on Earth from the evolution of bacteria, the earliest-known form of life, 3.8 billion years ago, through the appearance and extinction of entire species, such as the dinosaurs, to the eventual rise to dominance of humans.
This is not the first time the Dinosaur Museum and DK have worked together on projects and competitions. Both share a similar ethos of making discovering fun and enjoyable. DK does this through published books, the Museum through its hands on and interpretative displays. As well as dinosaurs the Dinosaur Museum has exhibits on extinct prehistoric animals including the mammoth, sabre-toothed tiger, and the ground sloth.
