Mosasaurus leaps through South Bank

Published: 20th Oct 2015

Walk along the South Bank in London today and you will see an amazing sight - a giant Mosasaurus leaping through the pavement. It is very reminiscent of the scene in Jurassic World and has been recreated to mark the release of the film's release Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD. It has been described as 'literally ground-breaking', with the impacl sculpture depicting the marine reptile, that lived at the same time of the dinosaurs, breaking through the Observation Point to eat a great white shark dangling from a fishing rod.

The seven-metre tall sculpture was created by Wild Creations, which has recently created the superb giant rugby ball crashing into the wall of Cardiff Castle to celebrate the Rugby World Cup being held in England with the Millennium Stadium being used as a venue for some matches. This creation will be in place for the whole of the Rugby World Cup whereas the Mosasaurus will only be on the South Bank for one Day.
