New Predatory Dinosaur in Venezuela

Remains of a new species of dinosaur has been discovered high up in the Andes mountains of Venezuela. It has been named Tachiraptor admirabilis and this predatory dinosaur was the ancestor of the more famous Velociraptor and other carnivorous dinosaurs.

At 1.8 metres (6ft) long it was about the same size as a lion, and is the first carnivorous dinosaur to be found in Venezuala. It lived 200 million years ago at about the beginning of the Jurassic period. During these geological times the continents that we known today were all joined together in one super-contintent known as Pangaea
