Accessibility

Parking

The nearest town car park 25 metres away in Durngate Street does not have any designated disabled parking. Charles Street car park 200 metres away is a larger car park and is adjacent to the Disabled toilets.

There is one step access to the Dinosaur Museum which has displays and exhibits situated over two floors. There is a temporary ramp available at the front door to assist with the entrance.

The ground floor is fully accessible. We regret that the upper floor is inaccessible to wheelchair users because of the nature of this period building. It can only be accessed by a staircase of 16 steps.

Displays

Showcases and displays are focused at a lower level where possible to ensure that they can be viewed and experienced by all.

Toilets

There are no disabled toilets in the museum. The nearest disabled toilets are by the entrance to the Waitrose car park in Charles Street, some 200 metres from the museum.

Disabled Visitors and Carers

DISABLED VISITORS AND THEIR CARERS ARE HALF PRICE. Tickets for disabled visitors and careers cannot be purchased online but on arrival at the Ticket Desk.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the Dinosaur Museum at all times.
